Job Requirements
- THS, AGTI, B-Tech and BE (MP / EP); vocational training in heavy equipment mechanics or a related field preferred.
- Repair and maintenance for vehicle under carriage system. (e.g. Dump Truck, Tipper)
- Proven experience as a heavy machinery mechanic or technician, with a solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems in heavy equipment.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices for heavy equipment repair.
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in challenging environments.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate heavy machinery is a plus.
Job Description
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy machinery equipment, including engines, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential issues, wear, or damage.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing fluids, replacing filters, and checking for system malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults in machinery, ensuring minimal downtime for operations.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess machinery performance and identify problems.
- Overhaul or replace broken parts or systems, ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
- Work with the engineering team to implement upgrades or modifications to equipment for improved per-formance and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time for each job performed.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure proper use of safety equipment when working on machinery.
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians or apprentices.
- Communicate with supervisors and operators to prioritize repairs and ensure all machinery is ready for use as needed.
- Order and maintain an inventory of necessary parts and tools required for repairs.
Working Hours: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Two days per month
