Job Descriptions
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the preparation of internal and external audit reports.
- The calculation of standard costs, labor costs, overhead allocation, and inventory costing.
- Analyze and report on cost variances, offering recommendations for cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Perform inventory analysis and reconcile physical counts with financial records.
- Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets and forecasts for manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and track manufacturing expenditures against the budget and forecast, and identify areas of improvement.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation, including raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory control measures and monitor inventory turnover ratios.
- Oversee the accounting for scrap, obsolescence, and inventory adjustments.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of financial reports.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure proper journal entries.
- Continuously assess and improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and automation where applicable in the manufacturing accounting function.
- Work with production, operations, and purchasing teams to gather and analyze data for cost and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to streamline systems and improve reporting capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with cost accounting, financial reporting, and inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of the manufacturing process and cost structures.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
